BIOGRAPHY
DJ Q, born in Huddersfield, England, is a pioneering DJ, producer, and radio presenter, celebrated as a cornerstone of the UK garage and bassline scenes. From an early age, his passion for music drove him to DJ at local events by the age of 15 and produce tracks during his college years.
Known for iconic releases like “Love Like This (The Reasons)” and the 2008 UK Chart hit “You Wot!” featuring MC Bonez, DJ Q has earned acclaim for his innovative productions. These achievements have led to collaborations and remixes for high-profile artists, including Amy Winehouse, Dizzee Rascal, Paloma Faith, and Peggy Gou.
As part of the acclaimed supergroup TQD, alongside Flava D and Royal-T, DJ Q has pushed the boundaries of UK garage and bassline, highlighted by their 2017 debut album UKG. His solo discography features standout projects like The Archive and Ineffable, as well as his 2022 album Est. 2003, which includes collaborations with Todd Edwards and Shola Ama.
In addition to his solo work, DJ Q’s dynamic back-to-back sets with the likes of Sammy Virji, Yung Singh, and MPH have cemented his reputation as one of the most versatile DJs in the scene.
